2 x NEW gas struts matching commonly found Checker Plate Toolbox struts marked "Arrowhead Get Downs" , 540x300N. Whilst these are specifically designed for replacing the tool box struts as described, they may be suitable for other universal applications.
Per the part number, the struts are 540mm long between centres, FULLY EXTENDED. They have a rating of 300 Newtons, or 30kg of DIRECT OUTWARD force. Note, this does not mean they lift a 30kg lid, you must allow for leverage!
The struts come complete with 2 ball fittings and nuts per strut to attach them.
Sizing is a ROBUST 8mm shaft and 18mm barrel, designed for longevity and industrial use. Always mount gas struts with the barrel UP and the shaft pointing down, when the door is in the closed position.
